(PINPOINT WEATHER) — It was such a nice start to March (and meteorological spring)! Warm again, with the high reaching 74 degrees in Charlotte. But it’s about to get much colder…
Tonight’s cold front will give us a reality check for Sunday, reminding us it’s still the winter season. We’ll wake up to temperatures in the 20s and 30s, with some teens in the mountains. Brrrr….and despite more sun, Sunday’s highs will only reach the low and mid-50s.

Next week starts cold for Monday, but we’ll be warming up again Tuesday and Wednesday ahead of the next front (60s & 70s). Rain and storms will be moving in with the front on Wednesday, and it’s possible we could get some severe weather in parts of our area. At this point, it’s looking like the I-77 corridor & east would be in the higher risk zone. Either way, it’s going to get pretty windy Wednesday and still breezy Thursday.

Late week is drier & cooler again with temps back in the 50s & 60s. The rollercoaster ride goes on!
Tonight: Clear and cold. Breezy. Low 33.
Sunday: Sunny and cooler. High 52.
