Two firefighters fell through a floor while battling a three-alarm fire at an apartment building in Hartford on Wednesday night.
The Hartford Fire Department responded to a three-alarm fire at 419 Hudson St. around 9:28 p.m. on Wednesday, according to fire officials.
Arriving fire crews discovered a working fire on multiple floors of the mixed-use, multi-unit apartment building, fire officials said.
According to fire officials, a mayday was declared after two firefighters fell through a floor but it was quickly canceled. One firefighter was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
Fire officials say no injuries were reported. Special services and the American Red Cross were assisting the displaced residents.
Firefighters remained on the scene for an overhaul, according to fire officials. The Hartford Police Department, Licenses & Inspections Division and additional city personnel assisted at the scene.
The Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
