Bohdi Linton Obituary, Death;- A tragic accident occurred on the LSU campus in Baton Rouge on Wednesday night, resulting in the deaths of a student-athlete and a 23-year-old individual.
The incident took place at approximately 9:07 p.m. According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, a Honda Accord was traveling south on Nicholson Drive when it attempted to turn left onto South Quad Drive, colliding with a motorcycle that was heading north on Nicholson Drive.
The deceased motorcyclist has been identified as Bohdi Linton, aged 23. The other victim of the crash was identified as Dillon Reidenauer, a freshman student-athlete on the LSU track and field team. An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is currently underway.
LSU mourns the loss of freshman pole vaulter
LSU Athletics reported that Dillon Reidenauer, a native of Abita Springs, was recognized as one of Louisiana’s top high school pole vaulters while attending Fountainbleau High School, where she secured second place at the 2024 LHSAA State 5A Championships with a height of 3.64 meters. At LSU, she was studying interior design.
Dennis Shaver, the head coach of LSU Track & Field, expressed the team’s profound sorrow. He also extended gratitude to Texas A&M for their support as the team prepares to travel to College Station for the SEC Championships.

“We are heartbroken by the untimely loss of Dillon Reidenauer, who was taken from us far too soon. Everyone within our LSU Track & Field family is keeping Dillon’s loved ones in our thoughts and prayers, along with those of the other individual who lost their life in this incident.
“We will do everything possible to ensure our student-athletes and staff have access to the necessary resources to cope with the grief stemming from this devastating loss. I would also like to express my appreciation to Texas A&M for their kindness and support as we travel to College Station for the SEC Championships.”
