Yifan Liu Suicide, Death – Yifan Liu, a female PUA postdoctoral student, took her own life on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, after making allegations that Fisher Yu, an assistant professor at ETH Zurich, had sexually harassed her. Liu’s death came after she made the allegations.
Yifan Liu, a joyful and vivacious woman who had been in PUA for almost half a year at the time of her suicide, committed suicide by jumping off a building. She was a teacher before, but she left that profession to work for Fisher Yu at ETH, and she moved there in March of this year. Assistant Professor Fisher Yu may be found at ETH Zurich, which is located in Switzerland. After finishing his doctoral studies at Princeton University, he continued his education by working as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of California, Berkeley.
Within the Computer Vision Lab, he is accountable for managing the Visual Intelligence and Systems (cv.ethz.ch) Group as its supervisor. His objective is to design perceptual systems that are capable of successfully carrying out challenging tasks in challenging environments. His work draws from a variety of fields, including but not limited to computer vision, robotics, and machine learning, among others.
