Thomas Splinter,Nancy Orellana-Splinter Obituary, Death;- A driver veered into oncoming traffic, resulting in a head-on collision that claimed the lives of two individuals on Sunday in Cumberland County, according to authorities.
Levon Woods was traveling eastbound on Millville Mays Landing Road in Maurice River when, at approximately 4:15 a.m., his vehicle crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a vehicle traveling west, as reported by State Police.
The occupants of the other vehicle were pronounced deceased at the scene. The victims have been identified as Thomas Splinter, 57, and Nancy Orellana-Splinter, 29, both residents of Mays Landing.
Woods, 25, from Atlantic City, suffered moderate injuries in the incident. A spokesperson for the State Police did not disclose whether Woods would face any charges. The investigation into the crash is ongoing, and no further information was available as of Monday morning, according to the spokesperson.
