Daniel Bisogno Obituary, Death; – Daniel Bisogno, a prominent figure at TV Azteca and co-host of the well-established entertainment news program Ventaneando, has passed away at the age of 51.
The announcement was made via a statement on the official social media platforms of the show on Thursday, February 20.
“It is with profound sorrow that we share news we never wished to convey: our cherished Daniel Bisogno has passed away due to complications following the liver transplant he underwent last September,” the statement, originally in Spanish, indicated. “Ventaneando is in mourning. We have lost one of our most remarkable members. May he rest in peace. We will forever honor his memory,” it further expressed.
Pati Chapoy, the creator of Ventaneando and a fellow co-host, also confirmed Bisogno’s passing on X, stating, “It is with great sadness that I announce the death of Daniel Bisogno.”
“We are deeply saddened by the loss of our dear friend and colleague, Daniel Bisogno. He will always be fondly remembered by the entire @Azteca family. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends,” wrote Benjamín Salinas, Vice President at Grupo Salinas, the parent company of TV Azteca, on X.
Bisogno had been a co-host of Ventaneando since 1997, joining the program a year after its debut in 1996. He also performed in the musical Lagunilla, Mi Barrio and appeared in several films during the 1980s, including El Mas Valiente del Mundo, Fieras Contra Fieras, and Y Nunca Más. On February 12, his brother, Alejandro (Alex) Bisogno, appeared on Ventaneando and described Daniel’s health as “very delicate.”
Alejandro noted that while the transplant procedure had initially gone “in order,” complications arose that led to frequent hospital visits. “A bacterium settled in the bile ducts, which became the primary issue, as it is a mutating bacteria that we have been unable to eradicate. Each time antibiotics are administered, it grows stronger, and we have spent months attempting to combat it,” Alejandro explained.
Earlier in January, Bisogno had reached out to the public.
