Mihai-Mario Stoica Obituary, Death; – A driver is dead and three others are in the hospital after a crash on Dumfries Road in Prince William County, Virginia Sunday night. Police are still investigating exactly what led up to the crash, and asking witnesses to come forward.
Police were first called to the area of Dumfries Road and Van Buren Road around 10:30 p.m. for the reported crash. An investigation found that the driver of a 2013 Audi A7 was speeding eastbound on Dumfries Road when the sedan crossed the median into oncoming traffic.
The Audi struck a 2024 Cadillac Escalade traveling the opposite direction head-on. The driver of the Audi, later identified as 18-year-old Mihai-Mario Stoica of Woodbridge, was pronounced dead on the scene of the crash.
A 25-year-old passenger in the Audi was hospitalized after the crash. The driver of the Escalade — an 18-year-old man — and a 32-year-old passenger, all from Woodbridge, were hospitalized in the crash. The severity of their injuries is not known.
