John Ryan Obituary, Death- It is with deep sorrow that we must inform you of the passing of our dear friend John Ryan, who left this world the week before. His death was a tremendous surprise to everyone who knew him. John’s presence, warmth, and joyous demeanor enriched our lives, and we will forever treasure the memories we have of him. John and his late wife, Marj, were inseparable for many years, and their presence at The Quakerhouse was felt across the neighborhood.
Marj died in 2013. They had a regular spot at the far end of the bar, and that was where they always sat. While Marj danced to the music with a gleam in her eye while John kept a wary eye on the bands. All those fortunate enough to have known them were forever changed by the atmosphere of joy, friendship, and unforgettable experiences they fostered together. There were many people John and Marj came to consider family who they met at the Quaker house, so much so that it became like a second home to them.
Their consistency added to the warmth and familiarity of the place we have come to call home. John and Marj’s beautiful dancing brought new life and laughter to every party they attended. The laughter of John spreads quickly.
All of us here at the office are offering our deepest condolences to John and Marj’s loved ones. My hope is that you find comfort in the fact that their love and the time they spent together at The Quakerhouse will be immortalized in the annals of time.
Our lives are diminished by John Ryan’s passing, but he has left us with a wealth of precious recollections to honor his life and legacy. Remembering the joy, laughter, and friendship he brought into our lives will keep his legacy alive and give us all a reason to keep going. Every one of us here at Quakerhouse holds John’s memory dear as a dear friend and a cherished family member. We shall remember him with affection, gratitude, and a toast each time we gather at the far end of the bar. Dear John, may you rest in peace knowing that those who were fortunate enough to call you a friend will never forget you.
