Andrew Chartier Obituary, Death;- Authorities have identified a 30-year-old man who was fatally struck by a vehicle on Monday night in Merrill.
The individual, Andrew Chartier, succumbed to injuries sustained in a pedestrian accident that occurred on State Road 107 near Snow Road at approximately 8:45 p.m.
In a conversation with NewsChannel 7, Lt. Grant Peterson from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the incident was not classified as a hit-and-run. He noted that the driver of the other vehicle is cooperating with the investigation. Further details regarding the circumstances of the incident have not been disclosed.
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office received assistance from the Merrill Police Department, Merrill Fire Department, Lincoln County Coroner’s Office, Wisconsin State Patrol, and Lightning Towing.
