Samson Edwards Obituary, Death; – The Ada County Coroner’s Office has confirmed the identity of a Meridian resident who lost his life in a collision on I-84.
At approximately 3:30 a.m. on Monday, officials from the coroner’s office were called to mile marker 42 on westbound I-84 in Meridian. Twenty-three-year-old Samson Edwards, a resident of Meridian, was declared deceased at the scene after suffering injuries from a multi-vehicle incident involving a pedestrian.
A Kia Rio collided with the rear of a Subaru Impreza, resulting in the Subaru veering off the roadway. The impact rendered the Kia inoperable in a lane of the interstate. Following the collision, Samson Edwards exited his vehicle, only to be struck by a Mitsubishi Mirage, which resulted in his death.
The cause of death has been determined to be traumatic blunt force injuries, and the incident has been classified as an accident. The Idaho State Police is currently overseeing the investigation.
