Jacki Perkey Obituary, Death; – Fire officials in Niles have disclosed the identity of the woman who perished in a residential fire over the weekend. Niles Fire Chief John Stevens confirmed that the deceased was 69-year-old Jacki Perkey.
Perkey lost her life in a blaze on the 300 Block of Trumbull Drive shortly before 1:30 AM on Sunday. By the time emergency crews arrived, the fire was fully engulfed, with much of the roof having already collapsed.
The investigation into the cause of the fire is currently ongoing. In the interim, Chief Stevens is urging residents to prioritize fire safety and to ensure that their homes are equipped with functional smoke detectors.
