Anthony Green Obituary, Death; – The Richmond Police Department has confirmed the identity of a man who lost his life on February 4 after a vehicle veered onto a sidewalk in the 2300 block of Chamberlayne Avenue.
According to the Richmond Police, “A vehicle traveling southbound left the roadway, struck a pedestrian, and collided with a structure. The vehicle then continued along the sidewalk, hitting an unoccupied car before coming to a halt.”
The pedestrian, who has been identified as 37-year-old Anthony Green, was declared dead at the scene. The driver, described only as an adult male, along with a female passenger, was transported to a hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening.
The incident resulted in the closure of both lanes of Chamberlayne Avenue for several hours. No charges have been filed in connection with this incident.
