Markeveon Miller Obituary, Death; – Authorities have provided additional information regarding a man who lost his life in a high-speed automobile accident last Friday.
The Houston Police Department’s Vehicular Crimes Division has identified the deceased as 20-year-old Markeveon Miller. At approximately 8:30 p.m. on February 7, Miller was operating a black Pontiac G6 sedan at an excessive speed while traveling northbound on I-45, close to 7700 North Freeway. It is suspected that he may have been engaged in a race with a blue Mercedes Benz 320 sedan.
Both vehicles exited the freeway at West Gulf Bank Road. Miller’s car veered across multiple lanes on the service road before crashing into the curb on the far-right side. The Pontiac then entered a grassy area, collided with a concrete pipe, and rolled over several times.
The driver of the Mercedes, who witnessed the incident, returned to the scene. After being questioned, he was released by authorities, who confirmed that he was not under the influence of alcohol.
Emergency responders from the Houston Fire Department transported Miller to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash remains ongoing.
