Arturo Dogollado,Jett Brummett Obituary, Death; – Authorities have identified the two teenagers who lost their lives in a shooting incident that occurred in east Tulsa on Saturday.
According to Tulsa Police, Christopher Atjun, 18, has been apprehended for allegedly shooting four teenagers in the area, resulting in the deaths of two individuals.
Atjun faces charges of two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of shooting with intent to kill. The incident reportedly took place early Saturday morning at an apartment complex located near 21st and Garnett.
Officers responded to the scene around 1:30 a.m. and discovered four teenagers who had been shot, suggesting that the attack was premeditated. The deceased have been identified as 18-year-olds Arturo Dogollado and Jett Brummett.
Another 18-year-old and a 19-year-old were transported to the hospital with gunshot injuries and are anticipated to recover. Witnesses in the vicinity reported hearing the gunfire and attempted to assist the victims.
During the investigation, homicide detectives were able to identify Atjun as a suspect. He subsequently surrendered on Saturday and admitted to the offenses. Quy Do, an employee at a family business situated across the street from the shooting location, informed FOX23 that there have been numerous police incidents in the area over the years.
“It is somewhat shocking, yet not entirely surprising, as this apartment complex experiences incidents on average every week and a half,” he remarked. Do expressed a desire for such events to cease, stating, “Things just happen. Perhaps the entire community needs to take action, but that requires significant effort.” Tulsa Police have indicated that the investigation into the homicide is ongoing.
