Josiah Cadle Obituary, Death;- The Richmond County Coroner’s Office announced on Monday the identification of a man who lost his life in a traffic incident that occurred on Friday. Josiah Cadle, aged 68, from Hephzibah, was fatally injured in the accident that took place in the 5100 block of Henderson Road, as reported by Coroner Mark Bowen.
Cadle’s vehicle was heading east on Henderson when it veered off the road and struck a tree. He was declared dead at the scene at 2:20 p.m. This incident was part of a series of four crashes that resulted in four fatalities within an 18-hour period in the CSRA on Friday and Saturday. The other incidents included:
A man from Aiken was killed in a single-vehicle accident on Rushton Road near Mosley Road in Aiken County shortly before 2 a.m. on Saturday. John Boulware, 22, was driving east in a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado when the vehicle left the roadway and collided with a tree.
Another driver lost his life after losing control of his vehicle in a parking lot located in the 3100 block of Peach Orchard Road in Augusta at 10:30 a.m. on Friday. The Jeep Grand Cherokee overturned, and the driver was pronounced dead at a hospital.
In a separate incident in Burke County, troopers reported that Linda Rochelle Walton Dixon, from Sylvania, died after her vehicle was involved in a head-on collision with another vehicle on Georgia Highway 24 near mile marker 14 on Friday morning. Three vehicles were part of this crash.
