Casey Crafton Obituary, Death; – A former resident of Memphis has been identified as one of the victims in the plane crash that occurred in Washington D.C. earlier this week.
Casey Crafton has been confirmed among those who lost their lives. Central Baptist School recognized Crafton as an alumnus. He had been residing in Connecticut with his family.
On Friday, police boats returned to the Potomac River to assist in the recovery efforts and investigation following the midair collision that resulted in the deaths of 67 individuals, marking the deadliest aviation disaster in the United States in nearly twenty-five years.
All individuals aboard the two aircraft perished, and officials are currently scrutinizing the actions of the military pilot as well as the air traffic control, as it appears the helicopter entered the flight path of the American Airlines jet.
