Ravenna Leyva Obituary, Death; – A 26-year-old woman who tragically lost her life after being struck by two hit-and-run drivers in North Hollywood has been identified.
The victim has been named as Ravenna Leyva, a resident of Sylmar, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office. Paramedics from the Los Angeles Fire Department pronounced her dead at the scene.
Law enforcement officials responded to a report of a pedestrian involved in a vehicle collision on the 11700 block of Victory Boulevard, near Colfax Avenue, just east of Van Nuys, at 9:40 p.m. on Friday, as stated by the Los Angeles Police Department. It was determined that a vehicle traveling west on Victory Boulevard hit the victim and fled the scene, as reported by an LAPD officer to City News Service.
A second vehicle, also heading in the same direction, subsequently struck the victim and left without providing assistance, according to police reports. The first vehicle has been described only as a sedan, while the second vehicle is identified as a light blue or gray 2003 Toyota 4Runner.
