Jhesandra Prestol Obituary, Death; – A man dialed 911 to report that he had fatally shot his wife during a domestic dispute concerning infidelity.
On January 26, at approximately 7:30 p.m., deputies from the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call regarding a domestic disturbance at the residence located at 13284 Holtville Avenue, Port Charlotte.
The caller, Rogelio Prestol, informed the operator that he had shot his wife. Deputies were promptly dispatched to the scene, where they discovered one deceased adult female, later identified as Jhesandra Prestol. In addition to the caller, two juveniles were found inside the residence, both of whom were unharmed. Rogelio Prestol was taken into custody without further incident.
“There are no words to convey the horror of this situation or the profound impact it will have on many lives. The act itself is reprehensible, and it is further compounded by the presence of children in the home at the time. My heart aches for them and for all who knew Jhesandra. Domestic violence in any form is abhorrent, and I hope that anyone facing such circumstances recognizes this tragic outcome as a possibility. To those individuals, please understand that you are not alone and that assistance is available. Do not wait until it is too late,” stated Sheriff Bill Prummell.
All individuals involved have been accounted for, and Rogelio was transported to the Charlotte County Jail, where he is being held without bond and has been charged with murder.
