George Levin Obituary, Death; – A 63-year-old individual was discovered deceased in a basement in Norwood Park late Sunday night on the Northwest Side of the city, as reported by the Chicago police. The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the deceased as George Levin, and authorities are treating his death as a homicide.
Police indicated that officers were dispatched to a report of an unresponsive person shortly before 11 p.m. on Sunday in the 7600 block of West Talcott Avenue. Upon their arrival, a witness informed the officers that the man was located in a bedroom within the basement.
According to police reports, the Chicago Fire Department was present at the scene attending to the unresponsive 63-year-old man, who was later confirmed to be Levin. He was pronounced dead at the location.
Currently, there are no individuals in custody, and detectives from Area Five are conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident.
