Tamek Nelson Skinner Obituary, Death; – A 30-year-old man from New York lost his life following a collision on Interstate 84 east in West Hartford early Monday morning, as reported by Connecticut State Police.
The individual has been identified as Tamek Nelson Skinner, residing in New York, N.Y., according to an incident report released by state police on Monday morning.
The accident took place near Exit 44 shortly before 1:30 a.m. on Monday. State police indicated that a 46-year-old man from Levittown, Pennsylvania, was operating a 2016 Freightliner Cascadia 113, a type of tractor-trailer, in the rightmost lane when it collided with the rear of Skinner’s 2017 BMW 320.
The two vehicles were found “stuck together in the right shoulder at final rest,” as stated by state police. Skinner was declared deceased at Hartford Hospital around 2:15 a.m., according to the authorities. The driver of the tractor-trailer reported no injuries and opted not to undergo a medical evaluation at the scene.
