A swimming coach who was riding her bicycle when she was struck and killed by a car. Tributes have been given to the “inspiring” coach who passed away. It took place at the intersection of Albemarle Road and Newmarket Road in Norwich. According to the police, the woman, who has been identified by the community as Jane Blackwell, passed away at the site on Sunday. Floral tributes from people who knew her have been laid at the location of the accident. The swimming club where she coached vowed that she would “never be forgotten.” It was written on one of the cards that she had “a positive impact on so many lives.”
The City of Norwich Swimming Club said that Mrs. Blackwell, who was in her sixties at the time, had served as the club’s top junior coach for a period of twelve years. She was hailed as a “brilliant swimming coach who went the extra mile, inspiring, and championing her swimmers” by the club. The club went on to say that Jane had trained over a thousand swimmers in Norfolk and had a significant impact on each and every one of them.
