Dakota R Parker Arrested; – A tragic automobile accident occurred early Saturday morning, resulting in the death of a 21-year-old woman from Cadet.
The incident took place on Cannon Mines Road, east of Highway 21, at approximately 1:45 a.m. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2011 Chevrolet Cruze, operated by a 19-year-old male from Cadet, was traveling westbound when the vehicle began to lose control. It veered off the road, collided with a tree, and rolled over multiple times.
The female passenger was pronounced dead at the scene by Washington County Coroner Steve Hatfield at 2:11 a.m. The driver reported no injuries. The vehicle sustained significant damage and was subsequently towed from the location. The use of safety devices by both occupants is currently unknown.
The 19-year-old, identified by the MSHP as Dakota R. Parker, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated resulting in death and voluntary manslaughter. He has been placed in the Washington County Jail under a 24-hour hold.
