Marquis Shamond Woodson Obituary, Death;- One individual has lost their life, and another has been hospitalized following a shooting that occurred during a birthday celebration over the weekend in Harnett County, as reported by the sheriff’s office.
The Harnett County Sheriff’s Office indicated that deputies were dispatched to the scene on Nutgrass Road in Bunnlevel after receiving reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered a man, later identified as 26-year-old Marquis Shamond Woodson from Fayetteville, lying on the ground in the yard of a nearby residence. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to investigators, the birthday party was attended by approximately 75 to 100 guests. “There was a disturbance involving several individuals at the location, which led to the shooting of two people,” stated Harnett County Sheriff Wayne Coats in a news release on Sunday.
The second victim was transported to a local hospital; however, their injuries are not deemed life-threatening, and they are currently reported to be in stable condition, according to the sheriff’s office.
