Stephen Paul Brinson, age 18, also went by the name Steve-O. He was given a sentence of one hundred and thirty months in jail and four years of supervised release. On Wednesday, a fentanyl trafficker from Flower Mound was given a sentence that included more than eight years in prison. It is thought that this individual sold over 1,800 tablets that contained the hazardous substance.
Back in May, Brinson entered a guilty plea to a conspiracy charge of possessing a Schedule II controlled substance with the purpose to distribute it. At the time of his arrest, federal agents stated that Brinson was a key source of the lethal tablets laced with fentanyl that were being used by students at Carrollton’s middle schools and high schools. Brinson was taken into custody.
He sold the pills, which were labelled with M/30 to make them look like oxycodone pills, on his Instagram account. According to the evidence filed in the case, Brinson provided Donovan Andrews in Carrollton with fentanyl. The findings of the investigation indicate that Andrews is to blame for the fatal overdose of at least one girl who was 14 years old.
During the investigation of Brinson’s residence, law officials discovered two firearms, cocaine, marijuana, and 1,800 pills that had been laced with fentanyl. In the documents he submitted as part of his guilty plea, he stated that at the time of the search, he was armed and on the way to deliver a pill to a customer who lived in Flower Mound. There have been nine people arrested and charged in connection to a string of overdose deaths that occurred in Carrollton and Flower Mound involving minors.
According to the documents filed with the court, Robert Gaitan, who is 20 years old and has also been linked to the overdoses, entered a guilty plea on Wednesday. In an indictment that was brought against Gatian back in March, he was accused with conspiracy to distribute a controlled narcotic.
