Latasha Thomas Obituary, Death; – Officials from the Baton Rouge Police Department are currently conducting an investigation into a shooting that occurred on Sunday, January 19, resulting in the death of a woman.
The incident took place in the 3700 block of Plank Road just prior to 11:30 a.m. Upon their arrival, law enforcement discovered the victim, identified as 48-year-old Latasha Thomas, who had succumbed to a gunshot wound.
Authorities report that a teenage suspect has surrendered to the police during the course of the investigation. The individual has been charged with second-degree murder and unlawful use of a weapon.
