Michael Nowlin Obituary, Death; – A fatal accident occurred on Interstate 234 early Friday morning, as confirmed by the Overland Park Police Department.
According to police reports, the victim was riding a bicycle on I-435 near Lamar Avenue shortly after 2 a.m. The cyclist, who was heading west, was struck by a vehicle. Emergency Medical Services pronounced the cyclist dead at the scene. The individual has been identified as 27-year-old Michael Nowlin from Springfield, Missouri.
Authorities stated that the driver of the vehicle did not sustain any injuries and is currently cooperating with the investigation. It is important to note that Kansas law prohibits cyclists from riding on the interstate. Police are looking into the circumstances that led to the collision.
