Miyett A Little Jr Obituary, Death; – A 24-year-old individual has been charged in relation to a shooting incident that resulted in the death of another man.
On January 15th at approximately 11:00 p.m., law enforcement was summoned to the 1900 block of Greenleaf Drive following reports of a gunshot victim. Upon arrival, officers discovered a man with a life-threatening gunshot wound. The victim, identified as 23-year-old Miyett A. Little Jr. from Norfolk, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The suspect was apprehended by police at the location of the incident. Subsequent to their investigation, detectives charged Lamont C. Whitaker, 24, from Suffolk, with second-degree murder and the unlawful use of a firearm.
Whitaker is presently being held at Norfolk City Jail without the possibility of bond. Detectives have yet to disclose a motive or any further details regarding the circumstances of this shooting.
