Authorities responded to the incident in a parking lot located on 28th Street SE, situated between Arby’s and Whole Foods, at approximately 7:08 p.m. on Tuesday. Upon their arrival, they discovered that Anthony Ellis, aged 53, had succumbed to injuries sustained in the blaze.
It is believed that Ellis was homeless and was residing in the vehicle at the time of the fire, according to police statements.
