Antonio Junior Calderon Mendiola Obituary, Death;- Charges have been formally brought against a 21-year-old individual believed to be responsible for the shooting of four individuals in Vista during the summer, as reported by authorities.
The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department indicated that the violent event took place at approximately 2:30 a.m. on July 20, 2024, near Civic Center Drive. Shortly thereafter, a report was made regarding four males who had arrived at Palomar Hospital suffering from gunshot wounds.
One of the victims, 19-year-old Antonio Junior Calderon Mendiola, succumbed to his injuries. The San Diego County Medical Examiner classified his death as a homicide.
Following an extensive investigation, the Sheriff’s Department identified Jose Ulices Luna, 21, as the primary suspect in this case. He is currently facing multiple charges, including murder, three counts of attempted murder, and allegations of using a firearm to inflict significant bodily harm.
