Brandon Adams Obituary, Death; – Fort Worth police fatally shot a man on Wednesday morning who reportedly advanced towards officers wielding a knife while they attempted to enter a residence in response to a domestic disturbance, according to official statements.
Officers received a call to a residence located in the 5800 block of Westgate Drive shortly before 4:30 a.m. Upon arrival, they observed a man with a knife behaving aggressively towards others inside the house as an individual attempted to open a screen door for the officers, as detailed in a press release.
In an effort to gain access, officers proceeded to the rear of the residence and attempted to force entry, as indicated in the press release. “The man then charged at the officers with knives in hand, prompting the officers to discharge their weapons and strike the man,” the press release stated.
The individual, identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office as 28-year-old Brandon Adams, was declared dead at the scene, with no injuries reported among officers or civilians, according to police.
