Farmer Williams Obituary, Death; – A 14-year-old has been apprehended and charged in relation to the fatal stabbing of his father, as reported by the Valdosta Police Department (VPD). Law enforcement officials responded to the 1200 block of Leone Avenue in Valdosta on Thursday, January 9th, at approximately 1:40 a.m.
According to VPD, a citizen dialed 911 to report an incident involving a stabbing. Upon their arrival, officers discovered 61-year-old Farmer Williams suffering from multiple stab wounds. They administered first aid to the victim until emergency medical services arrived. Unfortunately, the victim succumbed to his injuries at SGMC Health.
The investigation conducted by VPD indicated that the victim’s 14-year-old son, JaMaury Williams, was responsible for the stabbing. JaMaury has been taken into custody and is currently being held at a Regional Youth Detention Center.
He faces several charges, including:
– Malice murder
– Felony murder
– Aggravated assault
– Possession of a knife during the commission of a felony
The prosecutor’s office intends to pursue charges against the juvenile suspect as an adult.
