She was announced dead through a post that says “It’s with sadness that we let you know that our Tumuaki/Principal, Janette Melrose, passed away on Saturday 19 August surrounded by the aroha of her whānau”. The actual cause of Janette Melrose’s death has not been revealed at this time.
