Alex Kemp Obituary, Death; – A man has lost his life following a skiing accident at Jiminy Peak. Julia Sabourin, a representative from the Berkshire County District Attorney’s Office, reported that a 911 call was received at approximately 2:40 p.m. on Monday, indicating that an individual had been injured while skiing on the left side of Cutter Trail on Hancock Mountain. The caller informed authorities that the skier had gone over an embankment and appeared to have sustained severe head injuries.
Emergency personnel arrived at the location, and the skier, identified as 19-year-old Alex Kemp, a student at Williams College from New Jersey, was transported to Berkshire Medical Center before being transferred to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. Kemp was pronounced dead on Tuesday.
Sabourin further stated, “There is no evidence to suggest that drugs or alcohol played a role in the incident. The victim was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.” The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
