Harrison Tomkins sustained numerous stab wounds during the altercation that took place at a residential complex located on Arthur Road in Crawley, at approximately 5:30 am on Sunday, August 13th.

However, despite their diligent efforts, the individual, aged 25 and hailing from Three Bridges, tragically succumbed to his injuries. According to a tribute provided by his family, Harrison was regarded as a kind, caring, witty, and cherished son and older sibling. His absence will be deeply felt by a large number of individuals.
The individual’s steadfast capacity to perceive positive qualities in others had a pivotal role in shaping their fundamental principles, which was evident in all of their actions. In the brief duration of Harrison’s presence within our community, he has exerted a significant and far-reaching beneficial influence. The Surrey and Sussex Police Major Crime Team promptly initiated an inquiry, leading to the expeditious apprehension of a 22-year-old individual from London and a 23-year-old individual from Crawley on grounds of suspected murder. The search efforts were bolstered by the utilization of a drone and the National Police Air Service chopper. The individual identified as Kaydon Prior, aged 23, residing at Hazelwick Avenue in Crawley, has been formally accused of committing three offenses: murder, possession of an offensive weapon, and assault by beating.
Jason Curtis, a 22-year-old individual residing on Lairdale Road in Lambeth, London, has been formally accused of committing a single act of homicide. On Wednesday, the duo made an appearance before Crawley Magistrates’ Court and were subsequently detained in custody. They are scheduled to appear before Lewes Crown Court on Friday. Detective Chief Inspector Emma Vickers, representing the Major Crime Team, expressed her condolences for the unfortunate occurrence, emphasizing the gravity of the incident and her sympathies to Harrison’s family during this challenging period.
