Christina Gilson,Joshua Gilson Obituary, Death; – A man lost consciousness while driving, leading to a rollover accident that resulted in the deaths of himself and the mother of his two children. This tragic incident occurred on New Year’s Day near Lefthand Canyon, as reported by the Colorado State Patrol.
Joshua and Christina Gilson, both aged 43 and residents of Castle Rock, were identified by the Boulder County Coroner’s Office on Friday. Their children, aged 11 and 16, were in the vehicle at the time and sustained injuries, while the family dog also suffered injuries and had to be euthanized.
According to a news release from the Colorado State Patrol, it was noted that Christina Gilson was not wearing a seatbelt during the incident. Investigators revealed that the Gilsons’ vehicle was heading north on U.S. 36 near Lefthand Canyon Drive when it veered across the center grass median, rolled over, and ultimately came to a stop on the opposite side of the highway.
