George Estrada Tellez Obituary, Death; – A 63-year-old man succumbed to his injuries after being struck by several vehicles in Orange County, as reported by police on Saturday.
The Santa Ana Police Department received numerous calls concerning the incident near the intersection of 1st Street and Center Street at approximately 5:57 p.m. on Friday.
Responding officers, along with personnel from the Orange County fire department, arrived at the scene to discover that a pedestrian had been hit by two vehicles. The pedestrian was later identified as George Estrada Tellez, a resident of Costa Mesa, aged 63.
Emergency responders provided initial treatment to Tellez at the scene before he was transported to a nearby hospital. Despite the efforts to save him, officials confirmed that he ultimately passed away due to his injuries.
While the most recent update from the Santa Ana Police Department indicated that only two vehicles were involved, the initial report suggested that three vehicles had struck Tellez, with one fleeing the scene.
In the latest press release, authorities clarified that both drivers remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Furthermore, it was noted that neither driver showed signs of impairment from alcohol or drugs.
