Jacob Aich from Hutchinson,Lydia Barton Obituary, Death; – The Kansas Highway Patrol is conducting an investigation into a collision that resulted in the deaths of four individuals in McPherson County early Saturday morning.
At approximately 12:20 a.m., a Honda CR-Z was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of I-135, situated south of Kansas Highway 4 near Lindsborg. According to troopers, the Honda continued south in the passing lane designated for northbound traffic before colliding with a Toyota Rav 4. Following the impact, the Honda came to a stop in the median, while the Toyota came to rest on the right shoulder.
The KHP reports that the driver of the Honda, 36-year-old Jacob Aich from Hutchinson, succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash. A passenger in the Honda was transported to the hospital with suspected serious injuries.
The driver of the Toyota, 31-year-old Lydia Barton from Wichita, was also killed in the incident, along with two children who were passengers in her vehicle.
