Logan Tyler Swanson Obituary, Death; – The Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office has officially identified the individual who lost his life in a deputy-involved shooting that occurred on the Beach Express on Sunday. Authorities have confirmed that the deceased is Logan Tyler Swanson, a resident of Foley.
The incident transpired during a traffic stop located just north of U.S. 90, where a physical confrontation ensued between the deputies and one of the occupants of the vehicle, according to reports.
The BCSO stated that the individual disregarded the deputies’ commands to halt and brandished a firearm, prompting one of the deputies to discharge their weapon.
Fortunately, the deputies involved sustained no injuries and have been placed on administrative leave while the Baldwin County Major Crimes Unit undertakes an investigation. The findings of this investigation will subsequently be submitted to the Baldwin County District Attorney’s Office for further review, as indicated by the BCSO.
