Richard Sitzlack Arrested; – Seattle police have released images of a man suspected of fatally stabbing a King County Metro bus driver early Wednesday morning.
The Seattle Police Department (SPD) is actively searching for Richard Sitzlack, 53, in connection with the death of Shawn Yim, which occurred following an altercation on a bus near the University of Washington around 3 a.m. on Wednesday.
Sitzlack is described as a 53-year-old white male with brown eyes and brown hair, standing at 6 feet 5 inches tall. He was last observed wearing a navy blue sweatshirt, a dark gray or blue jacket, a black beanie, a yellow backpack, blue camouflage pants, and dark sneakers, while carrying a red shopping bag. Authorities have indicated that Sitzlack is “transient” and often visits the University District and downtown Seattle.
Anyone with information about his identity or whereabouts is urged to contact 911 immediately. The public is advised not to approach Sitzlack, as he is considered armed and dangerous. Police will provide an on-camera update on Thursday morning regarding the latest developments in this case.
