James Carl Fisher ARRESTED; – A man is facing legal charges after allegedly threatening a security guard at a Nashville hotel with a knife and subsequently assaulting him as he was being removed from the lobby, as detailed in an arrest report.
The report indicates that on December 8, law enforcement responded to an incident involving a knife attack. Upon their arrival, officers interviewed the victim, who reported encountering a 38-year-old man named James Carl Fisher sleeping in the hotel lobby, where the victim serves as a security guard. The victim recounted that when he instructed Fisher to vacate the premises, Fisher brandished a knife and made threatening remarks.
In response, the victim utilized pepper spray on Fisher, prompting him to exit the lobby. The victim further informed officers that as he attempted to close and secure the lobby doors, Fisher turned back and struck him in the face before fleeing the location.
Shortly after, officers located Fisher and took him into custody. During a search, they reportedly discovered methamphetamine, a syringe, and a knife in his possession. Fisher allegedly claimed to the officers that he had “ice” in reference to the narcotic and asserted that he had not opened the knife, stating he was merely picking it up after it had fallen to the floor while he was rising.
He is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and violations related to drug possession.
