Kreg Bernell Redd,David J McCabe Obituary, Death; – Two individuals lost their lives and seven others sustained injuries in a collision in Kentucky on Sunday, as reported by WKDZ Radio. The incident occurred shortly before 11 a.m. on US Highway 68 at the I-24 interchange in Trigg County.
According to the Trigg County Sheriff’s Office, an SUV was transitioning from I-24 West onto US 68 when it collided with another SUV that was traveling on US 68, as stated by WKDZ.
The report indicated that two occupants of the exiting SUV were declared dead at the scene, while a third individual from the same vehicle was transported to a medical facility. The second SUV was occupied by six individuals, all of whom were taken to hospitals, with two being airlifted to a facility in Nashville.
The Trigg County Coroner’s Office has identified the deceased as 54-year-old Kreg Bernell Redd from West Frankfort, Illinois, and 67-year-old David J. McCabe from Carbondale, Illinois. The accident resulted in the closure of all lanes on US 68 at the I-24 West exit ramp, although the road has since been reopened.
Emergency services from Trigg County, along with the Montgomery Fire Department, Trigg County Rescue, Cadiz Fire Department, and Kentucky State Police, responded to the scene, in conjunction with the Trigg County Sheriff’s Office and the Coroner’s Office.
