FLORIDA ~ The Collier County Sheriff’s Office is credited with the apprehension of a possible drug dealer, as well as the recovery of a weapon and a sizeable quantity of illegal substances from a location that was thought to be a drug house. The defendant, 45-year-old Javier Joel Perez, is charged with many felony counts related to narcotics and weapons, one of which is possession of a controlled drug with the intent to sell. In addition to that, he is accused of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm. Perez has a criminal record and is known to have been a part of a gang in Collier County.

Whether it’s the middle of the day or the middle of the night, you never know when they’re going to come knocking.
Immokalee police officers, with assistance from the Special Weapons and Tactics Team and other CCSO units, executed a search warrant at the residence of Perez on Taylor Street. During the course of the search, the following items were located by the detectives: There were 29.5 grams of methamphetamine, 8.8 grams of cocaine, and 1,733 grams of marijuana.
