LAFAYETTE, Indiana ~ On July 28, at around 5:45 p.m., officers responded to a call about a kid who was unresponsive at a residence located on North 13th Street. The young youngster, who was just four years old, was initially sent to Franciscan Hospital in Lafayette, and then flown to Riley Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis for further medical attention. Ke’andre Jolly, age 4, passed away this week as a result of injuries he sustained the previous Friday inside of an apartment in Lafayette. According to the most recent findings, the death of the youngster was the result of a homicide in Tippecanoe County.
Based on the early findings, it was determined that the manner of death was a homicide. Jolly passed away early on Tuesday. Wednesday saw the Tippecanoe County Coroner’s Office conduct an autopsy on a deceased person. But the official cause of death won’t be known until the inquiry is finished. No details regarding Jolly’s injuries or the medical conditions that ultimately led to his passing have been disclosed by the relevant authorities. The discovery of marijuana at the residence, according to the Lafayette police department, resulted in the arrest of Montrell Jolly, 33 years old, for a probation violation related to a methamphetamine possession conviction from the previous year.
According to the police, Montrell is the boy’s relative but not his biological father. The police have not named a suspect or arrested anyone in connection with the death of the kid. Thursday, a woman who described herself as Ke’andre’s mother and was present at the house declined to speak on the situation.
