She was the eldest of three children, and her role as the responsible and caring older sister shaped her into the compassionate person she would become.
Lora attended Mount Vernon High School, where she excelled academically and formed lifelong friendships. She was an active participant in school clubs and events, always willing to lend a helping hand. Those who knew Lora in high school recall her as a bright, diligent student with a natural ability to connect with others. A memorial service to celebrate Lora’s life will be held at the Mount Vernon First United Methodist Church on November 28, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Mount Vernon Food Pantry or the American Cancer Society, causes that were close to Lora’s heart.
