Emily Martin, one of Reading, Pennsylvania’s most treasured people, went away at a tranquil age, and the city is in mourning over her loss.
Her 14 grandkids are likewise deeply affected by her absence in their lives. She cared deeply for them and took great pleasure in spending time with them, during which she would read to them, play games, put together puzzles, and otherwise create cherished memories with them.
Malvern Martin, her devoted husband of 39 years, and their 13 children will miss her deeply: Alex Spring, who is married to Danette and lives in Chugwater, Wyoming.
Ricky Spring, who lives in Washington, North Carolina; Dari Martin, who lives in Plymouth, North Carolina; David Strait, who lives in Phoenix, Arizona; Joey Phillips, who lives in Sparta, Wisconsin; Kenton Martin, who lives in Pantego, North Carolina; Brooke, who lives in Cuba, Missouri; Sha Her infant son, Bradlyn D. Martin, as well as her infant granddaughter, Angelina Skye Miller, all passed away before her.
She was predeceased by her parents, Ernest and Anna Derstine; her brother, Joel Derstine; and her parents. We are grateful to God for the wonderful gift of love and compassion that he bestowed upon us in the form of our cherished mother. We are going to miss her terribly.
