Dillon McGee, a cherished husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Groves Park Lodge in Renfrew, Ontario, at the age of 76. Dillon shared 50 wonderful years with his wife, Diane (Gervais), creating a loving and enduring partnership. Together, they raised two daughters, Allison (married to Rory Richards) and Lesley (married to Kevin Thomas), who carry forward his legacy of kindness and commitment.

Dillon was a proud and loving “Poppa” to his six grandchildren: Harrison, Eden, and Weston Richards, and Spencer, Parker, and Harper Thomas. He cherished every moment with them, creating memories that will live on in their hearts.
Dillon dedicated his career to education, where he served as both a teacher and principal. His passion for learning and his unwavering belief in the potential of each student left a lasting impact on countless lives. Colleagues, students, and community members remember him for his guidance, compassion, and commitment to nurturing young minds.

He is survived by his siblings, James, Joyce, Cheryl, Paul, and Pauline, and is predeceased by his parents, Leo and Bertha, and brothers, John and Leo. Dillon’s family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the caring staff at Groves Park Lodge for their support during his final days.
A memorial visitation will be held at Goulet Funeral Home, 310 Argyle St, S Renfrew, on Thursday, November 14, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A Memorial Mass will follow on Friday, November 15, at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 86 Lacroix Bay Road, Whitewater Region.
