“On Friday morning, we received the devastating news that Brooks was tragically killed in a car accident. Our family is still trying to process this unimaginable loss, which has left us heartbroken. We are incredibly grateful for the outpouring of love and support from everyone who has reached out to Carter and me during this time. Thank you for holding us in your thoughts as we navigate this difficult journey,” his family member, Andrea Jalbert Young said in a statement to the public.

Brooks Young, who has shared the stage with legends like B.B. King, REO Speedwagon, and Bryan Adams, died in a car accident last Friday. Those who knew him believed he was committed to his craft. He is recognized for his passion for music and his devotion to his family, particularly his three small children.
His loved ones stated he spent his life doing what he enjoyed: making music. “This is startling. I believe many of us are still trying to process this news,” stated Jeffrey LeRoy of the Brooks Young Band. Young died Friday morning in an automobile accident on Route 11 near Alton. He will be remembered for the music he made.
“Originally, we were a blues band. It eventually evolved to include a lot of Brooks’ original music. “And in later dates, it defied genres,” LeRoy explained. Young’s love of music began at a young age, when his grandfather, a musician himself, taught him to play the guitar. That love only developed over time, allowing him to share the stage with some of history’s greatest musicians. He also collaborated with Gov. Chris Sununu on a music video to launch his reelection campaign in 2022.

Brooks’s family announced he will be buried next week. “His wake will be held November 18th from 4pm-7pm at the Smart Memorial Funeral Home in Tilton, NH. New Hampshire’s music scene is mourning the loss of longtime musician Brooks Young.
