James Lane Obituary, Death Cause – James Lane, who had lived in Scituate all of his life and had 66 years of age when he passed away on July 28, 2023, did so in the comfort of his own home. Christine (Gallagher) Lane could always count on him to be a devoted partner during their entire time spent together as a married pair.
He was born in Providence, Rhode Island, and both of his parents, Robert E. Lane and Anna M. (LaCourse) Lane Harper, had already passed away by the time he was born. His parents were his grandparents.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his loving children Jake E. Lane and Hailey A. Lane; devoted siblings Robert E. Lane, Jr. (Susan) of Exeter, Janet E. Robinson (Earle) of Cranston, and Ann M. Scambio of Cranston; cherished nieces and nephews Robert J. Lane (Wendy), Amanda Jean Corey (James), Ryan R. Scambio (Anna), and Jaimie L. Rafferty (Brendan); adored great-niece and great-nephews Avery Lane, Robbie Lane, Liam Rafferty, and Charlie Rafferty.
James served in the United States Air National Guard for a cumulative total of 33 years, during which time he rose through the ranks of the organization to earn the position of Master Sergeant.
During this period, James was able to attain the rank of Master Sergeant. Because of the nature of his work, he was able to visit a wide range of countries and become familiar with the customs that are specific to each one.
As a result of these travel opportunities, he gained this knowledge. He forged friendships that would last a lifetime, and he came to think of many of the boys he worked with as his brothers. These relationships were formed while he was working. He was able to develop a sense of brotherhood thanks to the friendships he had.
