At 3:05 p.m. on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, Oregon State Police were called to a single vehicle collision on Hwy 230 in Douglas County, close to milepost 14. According to the preliminary inquiry, Justus Wilson Jackson (19) of Beaverton was driving a southbound Toyota Corolla when it veered off the road for an unidentified reason and collided with a tree. During the collision, the driver was thrown from the car.
Jackson, the car’s driver, was pronounced dead at the site. During the on-scene investigation, there was no impact on the highway. ODOT and the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office provided support to OSP.
