A male student at the University of California, Berkeley has tragically died on Tuesday evening. UC Berkeley Police and EMS were called to the Residence Hall Unit 3 for a jumper report.
A male identified only as a student of the university jumped off the fourth floor of the parking garage near the students dormitory on Durant Avenue. Arriving officers performed CPR on the student, but he passed away at the scene. Law enforcement say there is not foul play in the student’s death.
His identity is pending the next of kins notification. UC/Berkeley urged the students to please seek counsel if anyone is suffering from depression or suicidal thoughts. A police cordon was located outside the parking lot as law enforcement agencies responded to the incident

According to authorities, the victim was a young male. Arriving officers found him bleeding from his sense organs having jumped from the parking garage. “Life saving measures were administered but he died on the spot,” an EMS responder said.
